Bio

My name is Flemmings Beaubrun, and I’m a graduate Becker College in Worcester with a degree in Game Design.  I was born in Boston and ever since I could remember, music has always intrigued me.  The first music video I can recall from my toddler years was “Bohemian Rhapsody” by queen.  Since then I’ve always had a love for music.   Music has always been an integral part of my life and has gotten me through some hard times.

You’re all probably wondering why I didn’t attend a school like Bentley.  Though I love music, video games have also had a major impact on my life, though it wasn’t till’ my senior year of high school that I decided I wanted to compose music for video games.  I have no knowledge of music theory what so ever, I’m just born with the gift of music. The thought of going to a music school has crossed my mind but I’ve decided not to go through with it because If I go to a traditional music school, I run the risk of losing my originality with my music.

I had the opportunity to sit in on a panel with famed composer Nobuo Uematsu (Composer of the Final Fantasy Series) in which he stressed that originality is the best way to make it in the business, so I shall remain a self taught musician so I may form my own style of music.  I’m  currently focused on fusion, which means I like to mix multiple types of music together such as Rock and Orchestral.  In terms of instruments, I’m not playing any at the moment, though I’d like to learn the guitar if I have the energy.

I make all my music using FL Studio (I’m currently on Ver. 20).  I started out making Hip-Hop beats and then worked my way to making music catered to video games. In terms of musical tastes, I listen to almost everything (I have yet to find country music I actually enjoy).
